ই-কমার্স সাইটেকে ভ্যাট মুক্ত রাখার দাবি “বাজেট তারুন্যর চাওয়া” - পাওয়া শীর্ষক গোলটেবেল বৈঠকে।

অনেক তারণ্য উদ্যোক্তরা বেলেছেন, অনেক প্রযুক্তিভিত্তিক কোম্পানি এখনো তার কম্পানিতে লোকসান গুনছে। এই মূহুর্তে এই খাতে ভ্যাট আরোপ করা হলে  তারণ্যেদের এই কম্পানি গুলোতে বিপর্যয় নেমে আসবে। ত

তাই সরকারকে এই খাত বাঁচাতে হলে আরো ৫-৬ বছর ভ্যাটমুক্ত রাখতে  দূরে রাখতে হবে ই- কমার্স  কম্পানি গুলোকে। বিকাশও মান এই খাতে এখনই ভ্যাট আরোপ করা হলে মানুষ মুখ ফিরেয়ে নিবে এই খাত থেকে । অথচ একটু লক্ষ রাখতে হবে ই- কমার্স সাইট লক্ষ লক্ষ বেকারে কর্ম সংস্থান তৈরি করছে। সোমবার ২৪ জুন, সোমবার,২০২৯ সালে প্রথম আলো গোল টেবিল   বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হয় ।

এই অবস্থায় ভ্যাট আরোপ করা হলে এই খাত রুগ্ন খাতে পরিনীত হবে।

যুক্তরাজ্যে এখনো মোট বেচা বিক্রির ১০-১২ শতাংক অনলাইনে হচ্ছে। আর আমাজন ২৩-২৪ বছর পর তারা লাভের মুখ দেখছে। আর বাংলাদেশ অনলাইন প্লাটফরম কেবল শুরু হলো - এখনই ভ্যাট আরোপ করা ঠিক হবে না বলে - তারা জানান।
